Nadine Cummins is President & CEO of HR Compass, a firm specializing in human resource consulting.

Nadine has over 25 years of human resource experience. She has been Vice President and Director of Human Resources for financial institutions, the direct marketing industry, and dealerships. She has worked for such noted companies as Bank One, Caterpillar, 1st National Bank of Maryland, TRW, and Norton Company. In her years in Human Resources she has extensive hands-on experience managing HR functions including Recruiting and Staffing, Compensation and Benefits, Training and Development, and Employee Relations. She has her Senior Human Resource Professional designation from HRCI the recognized leader in Human Resource certification.

She has been the featured speaker at AIB (American Institute of Banking) and ABA (American Bankers Association) functions, and presented to the MPHRA human resource association. She has conducted numerous training programs. She has consulted with city governments to design new salary administration programs and was selected as the HR consultant for SBDC’s CAP project team which worked with over 30 emerging and growing companies to position them for future success. She is an adjunct instructor at Mesa Community College teaching Human Resource Management and a presenter for Arizona’s Employers Council, and Tempe and Glendale Business Library programs.

Nadine is a past board member of the Valley of the Sun Human Resource Association; she has served as a board member for American Institute of Banking, and the Beatitude House. She is a member of national SHRM (Society of Human Resource Managers), EMA (Employment Management Association) of Greater Phoenix, Tempe Leadership Class XX, and Toastmasters where she has attained her Competent Toastmasters designation.

Her most recent focus has been working with small to mid-sized companies to establish their Human Resource function and help ensure compliance to regulations, implementing performance management systems, review of human resource practices, developing HR policies and employee handbooks, coaching senior and middle managers, and training for organizational success.

Nadine focuses her consulting practice on improving companies’ profits and their bottom line through better management of human capital.

She has authored "Navigating the HR Maze" a HR Resource Guide directed to those companies that do not have a professional human resource person in their company and need help getting through the HR Maze; staying out of court, staying legal, or reducing exposure to fines, and having HR forms easily available.
